Starlink is a satellite internet service provided by SpaceX, a private aerospace company founded by Elon Musk. The service uses a network of thousands of small, low-Earth orbit satellites to provide high-speed internet access to remote and underserved areas around the world. The goal of the project is to reduce the digital divide by providing internet access to people in rural and remote areas who do not have access to reliable broadband.

How does it work...

Starlink works by sending data between a network of low-Earth orbit satellites and user terminals on the ground. The user terminals, which are about the size of a laptop, communicate with the satellites using radio frequencies. The satellites then beam the internet connection down to the user terminal, allowing the user to access the internet.

The user terminals communicate with multiple satellites at a time, which allows for a more stable and reliable connection. Additionally, the low-Earth orbit of the satellites allows for lower latency, or lag, in the internet connection compared to traditional satellite internet.

The Starlink system also includes a number of ground stations, or “gateways,” that connect the satellite network to the wider internet. These gateways are used to route data between the satellites and the wider internet, and also help to manage traffic on the network.

Once the user has the Starlink Kit (terminal and tripod) which they point to the sky, they can connect to the internet via the satellite. The service provides high-speed internet access even in remote areas with limited infrastructure.

Starlink Installation

Upon receiving your Starlink kit, we’ll expertly install the dish on your property’s exterior. Our array of Starlink mounting options caters to diverse building types.

Once you place your order, our friendly installation team will reach out to you. They’ll coordinate a convenient appointment for your Starlink setup, tailored to your schedule.

Typically, a standard Starlink installation is completed by our skilled engineers within approximately two hours. After installation, we’ll demonstrate the system in action, ensuring your satisfaction with the newfound high-speed Starlink broadband service. While Starlink Wi-Fi might cover certain properties entirely, larger residences or those with denser structural composition might experience some limitations.

Should you reside in a larger or structurally unique property, we can arrange a Wi-Fi survey. This assessment will guide us in recommending a range of products to guarantee exceptional Wi-Fi coverage throughout your entire property.
